Rowan University: A Strategic Partner of the University of Duhok
The University of Duhok (UoD is proud to collaborate with Rowan University (USA, a prestigious public research institution in Glassboro, New Jersey, USA. As a forward-thinking university recognized for its excellence in STEM, engineering, and applied sciences, Rowan University has been an instrumental partner in advancing UoD’s research, academic programs, and internationalization efforts.
Through this partnership, UoD and Rowan University have engaged in high-impact research collaborations, faculty exchange programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that foster academic excellence and innovation. One of the landmark projects of this collaboration is the Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Program, which focuses on nanotechnology and environmental sustainability, particularly in the development of nanofiber membranes for water purification.
This joint research effort has provided UoD researchers and students with access to cutting-edge technology, mentorship from leading scientists, and opportunities for international collaboration. The initiative supports scientific capacity building, empowering UoD’s faculty and students to contribute to solutions for regional and global challenges in water security and environmental sustainability.
